Huami has updated its lineup of fitness-tracking smartwatches with two new releases. The new smartwatches that went official in China are successors to last year’s Amazfit GTR and Amazfit GTS. Let’s learn more about the specs, features, expected price, and availability of Amazfit GTR 2 and GTS 2 in Nepal.
Amazfit GTR 2 Overview
Here, the Amazfit GTR 2 is the more premium of the two and it features an aluminum body. There is also a Classic variant with a stainless steel body. It sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen. The circular panel packs in a total of 454 x 454 pixels. The display is protected by a layer of 3D glass. It also supports live screen display that shows time even when you are not using the watch. You can change the watch face through the watch shop.
At the back of the watch, you can notice the bio tracker. The optical PPG sensor is capable of 24-hours heart-rate monitoring. It automatically checks for abnormalities like atrial fibrillation arrhythmic disorder. It also warns you when your heart rate becomes significantly high. Other health tracking features include Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2 level), Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI), and deep sleep monitoring.
For sports enthusiasts, Amazfit GTR 2 supports 12 different sports mode that includes swimming, cycling, walking, and even skiing. The smartwatch has an integrated GPS module to track the user’s motion continuously for high-precision data. The mobile app provides an analysis report which the user can consult in the middle of the activity.
Similarly, the 471mAh battery on the Amazfit GTR 2 offers up to 14 days of average endurance. Turning on the battery saver mode will bump it to up to 38 days. However, with GPS turned on, the watch lasts for 48 hours only. Huami has also integrated a microphone and speakers so you can answer calls directly from the watch. It also supports Xiao AI voice assistant. Users can also store songs and enjoy them locally or with a wireless headset.

Amazfit GTS 2 Overview
Amazfit GTS 2 features almost the same specs as the GTR2 but it sports a different design and has an inferior battery. It has a square display with a diagonal length of 1.65-inch. It an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 348 x 442 pixels. In addition to the 3D glass, it also has a separate coating that protects the display from scratches.
It encloses a slightly smaller battery of 246mAh. On average usage, the device can last for seven days. Turning on the battery saver mode it should last up to 20 days. With the GPS turned on, you can expect up to 25 hours of endurance on a single charge.

Huami Amazfit GTR 2 and GTS 2 have launched in China for a starting price of CNY 999. The Classic variant of the Amazfit 2 is more expensive at 1,099 Yuan. We can expect the starting price of Amazfit GTR 2 and GTS 2 in Nepal to be around NPR 18,500.
