Coronavirus

Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that were first identified in the 1960s and are known to cause illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe respiratory diseases. They are named for their crown-like appearance under a microscope. A novel strain, SARS-CoV-2, emerged in late 2019 in Wuhan, China, leading to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
