Over the past few years, Oppo has continuously expanded its ecosystem; from innumerable 5G smartphones to smart bands and whatnot. However, one major thing missing from their expanding ecosystem was televisions. But now, that gaping hole has been filled. Oppo has finally launched its first-ever televisions. Their two new television sets are Oppo Smart TV S1 and Smart TV R1. The former being a more premium offering. Let’s look at the specification, features, and price of Oppo Smart TV S1 and R1.

Oppo Smart TV S1 Overview

This top of the line television model sports a 65-inch quantum dot QLED panel with 4K resolution. Moreover, it has a variable refresh rate of 120Hz and 210 zones full-array backlight. Oppo claims that the S1 covers 120% NTSC color gamut and has a peak brightness of 1500 nits. Furthermore, the Oppo Smart TV S1 is TUV Rheinland low blue light certified.

The display has a floating full-screen design that extends 1.86mm forward. This gives the perception that the images are floating in the air, thereby creating a 3D virtual experience. Furthermore, it has a 178-degree wide viewing angle and adaptive ambient light sensor/

It runs on MediaTek MT9950 chipset and thus supports both Wi-Fi 6 and 8K video playback. Moreover, its built-in AI processor has 1.6TOPS computing power. This quad-core chipset is coupled with 8.5GB of RAM and 128GB storage. This pairing enables the TV to boot in just 1 second. You may not need to invest in an extra soundbar as Oppo has partnered with Dynaudio for the audio system. Oppo Smart TV S1 has a total of 18 speakers with 85W sound output and 5.1.2 channels.

Similarly, the NFC one-touch flash allows you to seamlessly cast your mobile phones on to the TV screen.

The TV has a floating full-screen design and a 96% screen-to-body ratio. Furthermore, it covers 93% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
