Potensic is a new brand that just made into Nepal, which many people might have just heard about for the first time. Here, they are competing with the likes of DJI and PowerVision, but at the same time, trying to be a little bit different, but well, that's exactly the point. Founded in by2014, this Chinese manufacturer carved out its niche by creating drones for decent aerial photography that didn't require a lot of cash. While the big names were pushing $2,000 flagship models with every bell and whistle imaginable, Potensic was mostly focused on sub-250g drones that actual people could afford. Of course, they're not reinventing the wheel here—but it’s really one of those brands worth checking out.

That's perhaps where Potensic can find its foothold. With Nepal's strict drone regulations, you need permits just to fly anything above 250 grams. So in that sense, Potensic's ultra-light model might even look oddly strategic. You're not cutting through as much red tape when your drone weighs less than a can of Coke. Plus, when you're trekking to Gokyo Lakes and genuinely worried about weight, every gram counts, and suddenly Potensic drones might look pretty smart.

Right now, the Potensic lineup in Nepal essentially boils down to two main players: the Atom SE and the Atom 2, both sitting comfortably under that magic 250-gram mark. The Atom SE is the entry ticket—at around NPR 60k for the Fly More Combo, you're getting a 4K camera, 31-minute flight time, and so much more. It's bare-bones compared to premium offerings. The camera uses a Sony sensor, and comes with features like ShakeVanish stabilization that work better than you'd expect for the price point. 

On the more expensive side, we have its sibling: the Atom 2, which is priced at just below NPR 75k. This one actually competes with DJI's lower-mid range stuff. Here, you get better cameras, alongside incredible low-light performance. And unlike the basic SE model, here you also get a 3-axis gimbal, which is a genuine upgrade.
