Honor has wrapped up 2025 with some impressive numbers. The company shipped a total of 71 million smartphones globally last year. And this marks a 50% increase from the previous year. Overseas sales also grew 47% and now account for over half of Honor's total sales, and at the same time the company's flagship Magic series sold over 10 million units across 17+ countries. Now this shows that Honor has indeed solidified its position not just in the mid-range and budget segments where it's traditionally been strong, but increasingly in the semi-flagship and flagship categories as well. This article will discuss Honor's 2025 achievements and what the company is planning for 2026.

      Honor's 2025 Performance

      Global Sales and Market Expansion

      undefined

As mentioned, Honor shipped 71 million smartphones in 2025, a 50% jump from the previous year. The global market expansion also saw a 9% growth in worldwide phone sales, with overseas markets being part of much of that momentum. Their overseas sales grew 47% and now represent over 50% of Honor's total sales. Thinking about it, it's actually a significant shift for a brand that was once heavily reliant on its home market in China.

The Chinese market, which remains Honor's core business, has stabilized despite intense competition from brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo. And this is also certainly no small feat, given how saturated and price-competitive the Chinese smartphone market has become.

      The Sucess

Honor's Magic series, which sits at the premium end of the lineup, sold over 10 million units across 17+ countries and captured 10% market share in those regions. The Magic series has become Honor's flagship showcase. It competes directly with Samsung's Galaxy S series and Apple's iPhones.

In the Middle East and Africa, Honor hit a milestone of 2 million units sold in Saudi Arabia alone, with new regional records expected as the brand continues expanding in these markets.

One of Honor's key strategies in 2025 was its "bigger batteries in all devices" plan. Chinese smartphone brands have been in an arms race over battery capacity, with 6,000-8,000mAh batteries becoming standard even in mid-range phones. Honor leaned into that trend, and it clearly resonated with consumers

      Honor's Product Lineup

Honor has always been particularly strong in the mid-range and budget segments. Before 2024, the brand was mostly known for phones like the Honor X9 series, which offered decent specs at accessible prices. But the semi-flagship series have also become incredibly competitive. The Honor 200 series delivered flagship-level camera performance at mid-range prices, and the Honor 400 series was one of the most loved smartphones The recently launched Honor 500 series, which is yet to arrive in Nepal, is expected to continue that trend.

      Honor's vision for the future

Looking ahead to 2026, Honor is focusing on AI products with an emphasis on user-centricity, youth appeal, high-end devices, globalization, and innovation.
