Design and Display:

The Amazfit GTR 2 is a round smartwatch with an aluminum or stainless steel body, depending on the variant you buy. For the classic one, steel makes up for the body, while the sports version boasts an aluminum one. The device is protected by a 5 ATM waterproofing grade, while also weighing just around 31.5 grams (sport) / 39 grams (classic). And you are given two buttons to control the watch. On the display side, the GTR 2 boasts a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 454 x 454 and a pixel density of 326 PPI. For drops, fingerprint touches, and such, the device comes with tempered glass and an anti-fingerprint vacuum coating.

Health and Fitness Tracking

Onto the back of the smartwatch, you get the biometric tracker. The optical PPG sensor does monitor your heartbeat 24/7. Not only that, it warns you when your heartbeat rate gets abnormal or significantly high. Other than that, the GTR 2 gives you SpO2 tracking, Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI), and sleep monitoring. For sports mode, the wearable ships with GPS integrated within it. Hence, the GTR 2 measures more precise data paired with motion tracking and such. In addition, you are provided with 90 different sports modes, including swimming, cycling, walking, and skiing. Some of them support auto-recognized by the watch itself, such as outdoor running, treadmill, walking, outdoor cycling, pool swimming, and elliptical.

Connectivity

As already mentioned, the smartwatch is equipped with GPS to connect with the satellite. Along with that, GTR 2 has WLAN 2.4 GHz to join the network and Bluetooth 5.0 to connect with your Android or iOS device. The Zepp App helps out with this process and also provides you with analytics and such.

Battery

The Amazfit GTR 2 endures for around 11 days of typical use, all thanks to its 471 mAh cell. On basic usage, it can survive more than a month without charge—38 days to be exact. On the other hand, after 6.5 days of heavy tasks, the watch needs 2.5 hours of charge to get back to full using its magnetic charger.
