Amazfit T-Rex Ultra Overview:
Rugged Design
T-Rex Ultra is Amazfit’s interpretation of the Ultra version of their T-Rex series. This series is meant to be rugged and toughly designed. Continuing on with this, the company has launched this Ultra watch made of 316L stainless steel. In addition, these weigh 89 grams with a strap and are around 13.45 mm thick.
Additionally, there are four buttons with a similar build to the main body. These buttons alongside the bridges are mud-resistant and such. What does not repeat the same pattern is the middle frame, which uses a polymer alloy. At last, the watch also sports adjustable slugs that provide a comfortable fit.
As a rugged device, the T-Rex Ultra is as persistent as it should be. This is certified with Military Standard (MLT-STD) 810G, which ensures durability in extreme temperatures, ranging from 70°C to -30°C. Moreover, you get 10 ATM water resistance. For colors, the choices are Abyss Black and Sahara.
120 Watch Faces and AOD
Getting to the display side, the Ultra version of the T-Rex smartwatch has an AMOLED panel of 1.39 inches and supports an HD resolution of 454 x 454 px and a 326 PPI pixel density. The display maxes out at 1000 nits of peak brightness, which should be enough in bright sunlight.
On the other hand, from the software side, you can choose from over 120 watch faces. Additionally, you can set it to always be on display.
Dual-band GPS and Offline Maps
The T-Rex Ultra smartwatch is tailor-made for adventure enthusiasts, delivering better precision in location tracking. Equipped with the dual-band GPS system, it harnesses the power of both L1 and L5 GPS signals, ensuring utmost accuracy in determining your exact position.
What’s more, this exceptional device is compatible with six global satellite systems, expanding its reach and reliability across different regions. Emphasizing convenience, the T-Rex Ultra also features an innovative Automatic GPS mode that dynamically adapts the positioning system based on signal strength.
Adding to its array of compelling features, the T-Rex Ultra smartwatch offers offline map functionality. Users can import route files and seamlessly utilize them in conjunction with offline maps downloaded from the Zepp app.
Furthermore, location points can be effortlessly saved alongside favorite routes, enabling quick and easy access. Additionally, the T-Rex Ultra smartwatch caters to return navigation needs by displaying a direct path to the starting point.
Sports Modes and Fitness Tracking
Amazfit’s T-Rex Ultra tracks extreme sports like skydiving, free diving, Alpine Skiing, and Triathlon. Furthermore, there are more than 160 sports modes, of which eight can be auto-detected.
With the EN13319 and ISO6245 certifications on the watch, users are good to go for up to 30 meters of free diving with depth and water temperature data. Additionally, it can also show alerts of storms, tide warnings, and high-altitude blood oxygen reminders for adventure junkies.
Likewise, the watch is capable of auto-detecting 25 exercise types within the Strength Training sports mode while tracking reps, sets, and rest time. And the AI-powered Zepp Coach is also there to provide personalized training plans and guidance.
Sensors and Connectivity
The T-Rex Ultra smartwatch is equipped with the advanced BioTracker 3.0 PPG sensor, providing 24/7 monitoring of heart rate, SpO2, and stress levels. With just a single tap, users can easily access measurements for all three vital parameters. In addition, the smartwatch offers sleep monitoring, PAI assessment, and menstrual cycle tracking.
For seamless connectivity, the T-Rex Ultra incorporates Bluetooth 5.0 BLE and WLAN 2.4 GHz technology. This allows users to connect the smartwatch to their smartphones via the Zepp App, which is available for both Android and iOS platforms.
