Anker Soundcore R50i Overview:
As far as the design goes, the Anker Soundcore R50i are in-ear earbuds with a stem. The buds are IPX5 rated, meaning splashes of water are no longer a headache. Additionally, both the buds and case use plastic on the material end.
Talking about the case, the R50i comes with one that is almost rectangular, with curved edges and corners. One of the corners even comes attached to a lanyard, making it easier to carry around. About the color options, there are two of them: black and white.
On the audio front, the Soundcore R50i is powered by similar 10 mm drivers as the R100. Moreover, the 2-mic system means that the AI can catch more audio so that it can cancel ambient noise during calls for a better call experience.
The device even has a dedicated BassUp mode, further enhancing the lows. Furthermore, even if you don’t like the tuning of the R50i, there is an option to choose between 22 of the custom EQs made by Anker themselves. For this, users have to install the Soundcore App first, which brings me to my next point.
Not only does the app allow you to switch between the preset EQs, but it even has a way to change the touch control settings. You can even find the gaming mode option, “Find my device” for buds, and the white noise option when you want to calm down a little.
Battery and charging
The Anker Soundcore R50i lasts a whopping 10 hours. Supplementing that is the charging case, which extends the battery life to up to 30 hours of playback. And when it comes to charging, 10 minutes in the plug gives you an additional 2 hours.
