Asus Zenbook S 16 (UM5606WA-RK082W) 2024 is a powerful laptop with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. This AMD offering has one of the most potent NPUs with 50 TOPS capability. In addition, it comes with 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD combo. The build of the laptop is solid too, made out of their trademark Ceraluminum material, it is US MIL-STD 810H graded. On the front, it has a large 16-inch OLED panel with 3K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Given all that, it is quite an easily recommendable laptop.

The Asus Zenbook S 16 2024 comes in the classic Zenbook design with linear patterns going across the lid. It is available in the Zumaia Grey and Scandinavian White colours, however, only the former option is available in Nepal. The material of choice for this laptop is “Ceraluminum”, which as the name suggests is a combination of ceramic and aluminium.
On the front, it has a 16-inch OLED panel with a glossy finish. The screen on the Asus Zenbook S 16 2024 is 3K in resolution. Additionally, it offers a 144Hz refresh rate and 500 nits peak brightness. It also covers the entirety of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Though there is a variant with touch support, this one lacks that luxury. For ports, it comes with one USB Type-A, two USB Type-C, a combo audio jack, an HDMI, and an SD card reader.
Performance
Though there are two processor choices of the Asus Zenbook S 16 2024 available in the international market, only one with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 is available in Nepal. It is the higher of the two choices and is one of, if not, the most potent AI processor. The AMD XDNA NPU can compute up to 50 TOPS. It has 12 cores, 24 threads, and a max frequency of 5.1GHz. Meanwhile, the graphics on this machine are handled by AMD Radeon 890M.
Other than that, it comes with 32GB LPDDR5X RAM on board. Similarly, for storage, you get a 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD. You cannot upgrade the memory on the Asus Zenbook S 16 2024 (UM5606WA-RK082W), however, there is an extra slot for an additional SSD. In the tank, it packs a 78Wh battery and comes with a 65W AC adapter in the box.
