The boAt Wave Hype features a squircle body with a single button on the right. The body has a metallic finish while the strap is a fluoroelastomer. It also boasts an IP67 rating, meaning it can easily shrug off extended exposure to dust and short immersion in shallow waters. A 1.85-inch display serves as the face of the watch. It has a resolution of 240 x 280 pixels and appears to have curved around the edges. In the meantime, it ships with five colour options: Black, Beige, Grey, Purple, and Rose Pink.

The boAt Wave Hype comes with all the health and fitness tracking features that you would expect from a smartwatch. It has over 50 modes of sports tracking while also offering vital tracking such as heart rate, blood oxygen, and sleep. Additionally, the boAt Wave Hype comes with over 100 choices of watch faces alongside the feature to customise further. In the meantime, it supports Bluetooth calling alongside displaying call, text, and social media notifications. It also allows you to set live reminders for ongoing cricket matches.

Fuelling the boAt Wave Hype is a 220 mAh battery that can last you up to a week on normal usage. Meanwhile, it comes with the relatively latest Bluetooth v5.3 support to connect with your smartphone. While on the subject of connection, users on iOS 12.0 and Android 7.0 or later can pair this smartwatch via the boAt Wearables app.
