Design

The FreeSpace FS2SE from Bose looks identical to their new FS4SE Surface Mount. The body is made up of plastic with a powder-coated steel grille at the front. The speaker measures 196 x 113 x 135mm and weighs nearly 1.43 grams with the bracket.  Yes, for surface mounting, there is a U-bracket that comes with the speaker. The FreeSpace FS2SE has an IP55 rating that protects it against water and dust damage. Moreover, the speaker is available in two neutral colors: Black and White.

Audio and Connectivity

Under the hood, the FreeSpace FS4SE boasts 57mm (2.25") full-range transducers with 16W RMS power. This driver has an impedance of 16 ohms and can reproduce frequencies from 83 to 19,000 Hz. Also, it covers 145° and 140° horizontal and vertical angles, respectively, so the sound spreads to most of the room space. It should be noted that while playing music, the FS4SE Surface Mount requires a direct power source via a Euroblock 6-pin connector. The power can go as high as 100 volts.
