DJI Inspire 2 Overview:
Design
The DJI Inspire 2 is a high-end drone made for serious filmmakers and aerial creators. It came out in 2016 and quickly became one of DJI’s most capable professional drones. Built with a tough magnesium-aluminum frame, it weighs around 3.4 kilograms without the camera and can take off at up to 4.25 kilograms. It works with two main camera modules — the Zenmuse X5S and X4S — both capable of shooting detailed footage up to 5.2K in CinemaDNG or Apple ProRes formats, offering rich color and sharp dynamic range.
Speed and Rest
It features a full 3-axis mechanical gimbal that can rotate 360 degrees, giving smooth and stable shots even during quick movements. The dual-battery setup delivers about 27 minutes of flight time and supports fast charging. The Inspire 2 can fly at speeds up to 26 meters per second and climb or descend quickly. It also has forward and upward obstacle sensors, along with infrared detection for added safety when flying in complex spaces.
For live feeds, the drone uses DJI’s Lightbridge system, transmitting HD video up to 7 kilometers away. It supports advanced shooting tools like CineCore 2.0 image processing, Spotlight Pro tracking, and a Master-Slave controller mode for team setups.
