Haylou is an independent Chinese smartphone accessories brand operating within Xiaomi's ecosystem. They partnered with Honor and created a smartwatch. It hit the Chinese market under the name “Honor Haylou Watch”, however, for the international audience it is “Honor Choice Haylou Watch”. Let's take a look at the watch here:

Design and Display

The Honor Choice Haylou Watch comes in a rounded rectangular design with a sleek metal-like finish. It has a single button on the right side for controls. Furthermore, it boasts a 5ATM water resistance. You get a variety of strap options to go with this watch including silicone and woven varieties. However, it ships with two strap colours in the box: Black, and White. Additionally, the case is also of the same two colours. In terms of its display, the Honor Choice Haylou Watch boasts a 1.95-inch AMOLED screen featuring a refresh rate of 60Hz. It spans 410 x 502 pixels in resolution and offers a 100% NTSC colour gamut. Additionally, it is capable of displaying 16.7 million different colours while achieving a peak brightness of 550 nits.

Features and Battery

The Honor Choice Haylou Watch offers a wide amount of personalisation with over 100 watch faces while also supporting customised, DIY album, and dynamic watch faces. It comes with all the essential tracking features of a smartwatch, including heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen level detection, stress monitoring, and sleep tracking. Notably, it offers a vast array of over 120 different sports modes. It can automatically recognise and track five activities: walking, running, cycling, elliptical machine, and rowing machine. For added accuracy, you get a five-way satellite positioning. Additionally, the Honor Choice Haylou Watch comes with handy features, like Bluetooth calling, and Voice Memo. The company does not specify the Bluetooth version the watch is running on. Similarly, the Chinese variant of the watch had NFC support, but the international version misses out on that too. You can get all your data through the “Honor Health” app. In the tank, you get a 300 mAh battery that delivers up to 12 days of general usage on a single charge. Lastly, you get a convenient magnetic charging cable for, well, charging.
