Insta360 Antigravity A1 Overview
Build and Design
The Antigravity A1 is built for portability, featuring a compact, foldable frame that fits easily into a small bag. To keep the drone "invisible" in the footage, the dual lenses are precisely positioned at the top and bottom of the body. A key hardware highlight is the Auto Landing Gear, which automatically retracts after takeoff to ensure a clear 360-degree view and extends before landing for safety.
Imaging and 8K Performance
The A1 is equipped with dual 1/1.28-inch sensors that capture full 8K resolution at 30fps. Because it records a complete spherical view, you don't have to worry about framing your shot while flying. In post-production, you can extract traditional 16:9 or 9:16 vertical clips from any angle of the flight. The footage is stabilized using Insta360’s FlowState technology and includes a 360° Horizon Lock, so even if the drone tilts or maneuvers aggressively, the video stays perfectly level.
Immersive Flight and Control
It is designed to be used with the Vision Goggles and the Grip Motion Controller. The Vision Goggles feature an external display so people nearby can see what you see, while the "FreeMotion" mode allows you to fly in one direction while looking in another. The OmniLink 360 transmission system provides a stable 2K live feed from up to 10km away.
Battery and Safety
The drone offers two battery options to suit different needs. The Standard Flight Battery provides about 24 minutes of air time, while the High-Capacity version pushes that to 39 minutes. Safety is handled by a forward and downward vision system combined with a 3D infrared sensor for obstacle avoidance. It also includes standard smart features like Return to Home (RTH) and payload detection to prevent unsafe modifications.
