Insta360 Luna Ultra

Insta360 Luna Ultra Overview

Design and Display

The Insta360 Luna Ultra is a compact gimbal camera designed for creators who want stabilized footage without carrying a larger camera setup. It features a three-axis mechanical gimbal and a detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen, which can be removed and used for remote monitoring and control. The camera weighs around 233 grams, making it relatively easy to carry for vlogging and travel.

Camera and Gimbal

At the center of the Luna Ultra is a 1-inch sensor paired with a Leica Summicron lens, offering a 20mm equivalent focal length and f/1.8 aperture. It can record up to 8K at 30fps and 4K at 120fps, giving creators more flexibility for high-resolution and slow-motion footage.

There is also a 1/1.3-inch telephoto camera with a 60mm equivalent focal length and up to 12x zoom. The three-axis gimbal provides physical stabilization, while AI-powered tracking can keep subjects centered as they move.

AI and Features

The Luna Ultra uses a Triple AI Chip system for image processing, noise reduction, and low-light enhancement. Its PureVideo mode is designed to improve footage in darker environments, while 10-bit I-Log recording gives creators more flexibility when color grading their videos.

Battery and Storage

The camera packs a 1,550mAh battery that can provide up to 240 minutes of recording under Insta360's testing conditions. It also supports fast charging, reaching around 80% in 23 minutes.

For storage, the Luna Ultra includes 47GB of internal storage and supports microSD cards up to 1TB, giving creators plenty of room for high-resolution 8K footage.
