Starting with the design, the Insta360 X5 retains a compact, rugged design with improved durability for outdoor use. It is also waterproof up to 15 meters without a dive case. The camera also features replaceable, scratch-resistant lenses and a steel mesh wind guard for better audio.

The X5 features larger 1/1.28-inch sensors with an f/2.0 aperture, delivering better image quality and low-light performance. It can record 8K 360° video at 30fps, 5.7K at 60fps with Active HDR, and 4K at 120fps. It also introduces PureVideo for improved low-light recording and InstaFrame for capturing flat and 360° video simultaneously.
Storage and Battery
The X5 packs a 2,400mAh battery, offering up to 208 minutes of recording. It also supports fast charging, reaching 80% in around 20 minutes and a full charge in 35 minutes with a 30W USB-C charger.
