Insta360 X6 Overview

Camera and Videos

The Insta360 X6 features dual custom Sony 1/1.1-inch square sensors with an f/2.0 aperture, offering better light capture and detail. It can shoot up to 8K 50fps 360° video, along with 5K 60fps and 4K 120fps flat video, while PureVideo mode improves low-light footage. 

For photos, it supports 120MP 360° stills and offers 10-bit color, I-Log, Dolby Vision, FlowState Stabilization, and 360° Horizon Lock. It also supports 16K Timelapse export, smart tracking, and an invisible selfie stick, making it versatile for travel, action, and creative content.

Design and Display

The Insta360 X6 retains a compact vertical design with dual cameras on opposite sides and weighs 196 grams. It features replaceable lenses for easier maintenance and comes with an IP68 rating, offering waterproofing up to 20 meters without a case and up to 60 meters with the Invisible Dive Case Pro. 

On the front, there is a 2.32-inch OLED touchscreen with up to 1,200 nits peak brightness and Always-On Display support. The bright panel makes checking footage and settings easier outdoors, while the Full Screen Press controls help prevent accidental touches during shooting.

Performance and Storage

The Insta360 X6 uses a triple-chip processing system with AdaptiveTone 2.0 and PureVideo mode for better image processing, exposure, and low-light performance. It also features Star-Ridge cooling for improved heat management during longer 8K recording sessions and supports fast charging, reaching 80% in around 24 minutes. 

For storage, the X6 comes with 64GB of internal flash memory, with around 47GB usable, alongside microSD card support. It also supports Wi-Fi 6 with transfer speeds of up to 100MB/s and USB 3.1 Type-C with speeds of up to 450MB/s, making it easier to transfer large 8K video files.

Battery and Others

The Insta360 X6 packs a 2,600mAh Xtreme Battery that offers up to 140 minutes of 8K 30fps recording. It also supports fast charging, reaching 80% in around 24 minutes. Additionally, its magnetic connector pin system works with accessories like the Power Selfie Stick for up to six hours of 8K 30fps recording. 

For other features, the X6 brings PanoMind, AI Director, Auto Edit 2.0, InstaFrame 2.0, and Spatial Capture with 3D Gaussian Splatting. It also supports Bluetooth motorcycle helmet headsets, Engine Sound Enhancement, voice and gesture controls, NFC, and Insta360+ Cloud, making it a feature-rich camera for creators and action enthusiasts.
