JBL Flip Essential 2 Overview
Design
The JBL Flip Essential 2 has the same design as the Flip Essential. In fact, it is similar to the whole Flip series. The back features a plastic section containing a power button alongside a battery indicator, followed by a rubbery cap with ports within. Besides, on the top are the buttons to control the speaker.
A thing to note is that there is also a lanyard for you to hold these portable speakers. Additionally, Flip Essential 2 doesn’t get easily water damaged, thanks to the IPX7 rating provided.
Sound and Connectivity
Equipped with JBL’s Original Pro Sound, this portable device provides bass as low as 65Hz and trebles as high as 20kHz. Also, Flip Essential 2 outputs 20W RMS power using its 44×80mm transducer.
About connectivity, this speaker comes with Bluetooth 5.1 working near the 2.4GHz frequency range. Furthermore, JBL Flip Essential 2 supports A2DP 1.3 and AVRCP 1.6 BT profiles. Further, one can connect two of their devices simultaneously using Bluetooth.
Battery
Providing 10 hours of battery life is the 3250mAh li-ion cell (11.70Wh). Moreover, the USB-C cable provided charges the 2nd Gen Flip Essential at 10W speed and takes around 3 hours to fully charge.
