      Kick Phantom X Elite Overview

      Design and build

Looks like Kick went for a compact stem-style in-ear design here. The earbuds have a glossy finish with rounded edges. You also get a pebble-shaped charging case with an LED strip on the front. Pretty much the usual design language — nothing out of the ordinary, but clean enough. Black seems to be the only color available so far.

      Noise cancellation and mic setup

The earbuds come with active noise cancellation that cuts noise up to 30dB. In addition, they include a quad-mic setup with AI-based environmental noise cancellation. You might say it's aiming to help in calls just as much as in music playback.

      Battery and charging

Battery life is rated at 50 hours total, which is more or less solid for the price range. On top of that, Kick is also adding its fast charging tech — they call it Spark Charge — which gets you around 2 hours of playback from a 10-minute charge.

The Phantom X Elite is using 10mm drivers, with what they’re calling “Kick Signature Sound.” We’ll leave that to subjective judgment, but yeah, it's there. For gaming or video, latency is listed at around 50ms, which is kind of standard for the segment.
