Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 3 (2022): Overview

Here’s a brief description of the build, chipset, and battery life of the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 3 2022 with the Ryzen 5 Pro processor.

Design and Build 

ThinkPad X13 has the build of a premium device. It comes in an aluminum chassis with a carbon fiber lid. Lenovo offers a number of display options. That said, this particular model features a 13.3″ WUXGA non-touch IPS screen with a 75% NTSC color gamut.  The ThinkPad X13 has an LED backlit keyboard, a Windows Precision glass touchPad, and a familiar Trackpoint. It is light at just 1.32 kg or about 2.8 pounds. It is 306 mm in width, 218mm deep, and has a height of 18mm.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 3  has an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 6650U CPU. It has 6 Cores and 12 Threads. The chip has a base frequency of 2.9 GHz and a max of 4.5 GHz.

On the GPU front, you have Integrated AMD Radeon 660M graphics. Lenovo ThinkPad X13 comes with 16GB of soldered LPDDR5 RAM, so unfortunately, it cannot be upgraded any further. You get 512GB SSD on purchase, which can be further expanded to 2 TB via the one M.2 2280 slot (pre-occupied).

Battery and Connectivity

What powers the machine is a 54.7Wh Li-Po battery. It can play local 1080p video for up to 18 hours at 150 nits of brightness. It performed well on the MobileMark 2018 benchmark as well lasting 15.67 hours at 200 nits.

As for connectivity, you get a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port that supports data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0, and DisplayPort 1.4a. You also get 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and 1 HDMI port. A 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack is also present to meet your audio needs. On the wireless side of things, you get WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1.
