Design

Marshall Woburn III, similar to any other Marshall speaker, has the same classic design: a leather pattern on the body as well as a metallic grille and logo at the front. This might be the heftiest speaker from Marshall out there, weighing around 7.45kg and measuring 400mm in length, 317mm in width, and 203mm in height. Other than that, as a home-only, non-portable speaker, the device doesn't have any IP ratings or such. If you pour water on Woburn III by mistake, there is a chance of the device not working at all.

Controls

Moving to the controls, there are every single button and knob at the top. Woburn III contains volume, bass, treble, and skip forward/backward control knobs, as well as source and play/pause buttons. There is a dedicated switch for the power button too.

Audio

Being huge, the Marshall Woburn III also houses a large number of drivers and amplifiers to support the drivers. At first, it has a large 6-inch woofer, followed by two 2-inch midrange transducers. Further, there are two 0.75-inch tweeters for better audio output. Each of the drivers also has an amp connected to it. While there are 15W Class D amps for all of the midrange drivers and tweeters, the amp for the woofer is rated to have 90W RMS power. And with all of that combined, the bass can get as low as 35Hz, and the trebles can go as high as 20kHz. Plus, the speaker can create a stereo output.

Connectivity

Marshall Woburn III can be connected to your device using Bluetooth 5.2. The Bluetooth here takes low energy, and the connection lasts 10 meters away from the speaker. Additionally, via the Marshall Bluetooth app, users can customize sound preferences. Also, there are three ways to connect it using wires, including a 3.5mm jack, an RCA connector, and an HDMI port. One of the downsides of the Woburn III is that the speaker doesn't contain any sort of battery. You need an AC source to keep it powered.
