Design

The OnePlus Nord Buds 2 are shaped as an in-ear fit, providing you with three silicone tip sizes out of the box. The earbuds each weigh around 4.7 g. Additionally, these buds have a water and dust protection rating of IP55. The flat stem is not the only thing the company is stuck with. They even held onto the case with a matte finish, a plane surface, and round corners. As a matter of fact, everything in the design is comparable to the old Nord Buds. Additionally, they named the color options on the theme of lightning: Thunder Gray and Lightning White.

Sound

The inside of 2^nd iteration of the Nord Buds retains a 12.4-mm dynamic driver from its last Gen with a titanized (coated with titanium) vibrating diaphragm. Some sort of BassWave algorithm enhances the lows. However, they include only SBC and AAC codecs. Additionally, you can set it to your preference in the HeyMelody app if you are not a OnePlus user.

Noise Canceling

This time, Nord Buds provides Active Noise Cancellation up to 25 dB with the two-microphone setup they have implemented. This makes it much easier to focus on the things you want and cancel out unnecessary noise. Three modes surround ANC: on, off, and Transparency Mode.

Battery

Here, a 41 mAh battery is what powers this new generation of Nord Buds. The buds is said to last around 7 hrs without ANC and 5 hrs otherwise. Adding to the battery life on top of that is a case with a 480 mAh battery, which increases its lifetime to around 36 hrs (27 if noise-canceling is enabled). Either way, the buds, and cases get charged full in around 90 minutes (1 hour for just the buds).

Rest of the specs

Additionally, there is support for OnePlus Fast Pair, Dolby Atmos Support, Dirac Toner, Sound Master EQ, and the latest Bluetooth 5.3. The case has a USB-C port for connectivity. And that’s it.
