Design

The Nord Buds 2R is where the OnePlus starts to curve its stem, which was not the case for any of the buds in the Nord series. Other than that, the design aspect of the 2R is similar to what we got a while ago with the Nord Buds 2.

Besides, it boasts the same in-ear design with the same IP55 rating for dust and water protection. Supporting the portability is the weight of the buds, which are just 4.3 grams each. Similarly, the case weighs 38 grams, which is pretty light to carry around in your pocket. Even the case resembles Nord Buds 2. Why won't it? After all, it is meant to be a more affordable version of that. However, color options are a little different, with the company providing you with darker options such as Deep Grey and Triple Blue.

Sound

On audio too, the similar 12.4-mm drivers with a vibrating diaphragm coated with titanium serve you with that sweet, juicy music. The Nord Buds 2R You get everything from 4 mics (2 on each), call enhancement using those mics, Sound Master Equalizer, Dolby Atmos, and Dirac Sound Tuning support, all as the Buds 2.

However, the only thing missing in the Nord Buds 2R is the Active Noise Cancellation, which makes the definitive version feel superior.

Battery

Continuing with the comparison, the OnePlus Nord Buds 2R has a smaller battery in contrast, 36 mAh as opposed to 41 mAh in the Buds 2. However, these last an hour longer than their main version, for 8 hours of playback. Moreover, the case has an identical capacity of 480 mAh, backing the buds up for 38 hours.

Connectivity

For connectivity, the Nord Buds 2R ships with Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connection and USB-C for charging purposes.
