Audio and Features

In terms of audio, the Nord Buds 4 uses 12 mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers—which reads a lot similar to the 12.4 mm drivers you get on the Nord Buds 3—but OnePlus says it has managed to increase the earbuds' amplitude by a whopping 100% this time. Which means you can expect louder audio with thumpier bass and better details here. 

You can also create a custom equalizer for these earbuds, while the Nord Buds 4 supports “Game Sound Spatial Audio” that boosts different in-game sound elements like gunshots, footsteps, and spatial awareness. Similarly, the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 offer 52dB of active noise cancellation and support a couple of AI features, such as “AI Translate” and “AI Assistant”.

Design and Durability

The Nord Buds 4's case has been slightly redesigned from a curved, cobble-like shape to a more boxy housing. The earbuds themselves are still IP55 dust/splash resistant, though. Getting to battery life, OnePlus says you can expect up to 13 hours of music playback from the earbuds alone (or 54 hours with the case included), if you've turned off ANC, set it to the "AAC" codec, and kept the volume at roughly 50%. These earbuds pair to your other gadgets via Bluetooth 6.1 connection, and you can connect them to two devices at once as well.
