Promate ProPods Overview:
Design
The Promate ProPods TWS has an in-ear design with touch controls back at the stem. The stem extending at the bottom is slim and cylindrical. Furthermore, the circular LED ring enhances its chilling look.
However, the company hasn’t made mention of the IP rating, which might mean there is no protection from water and splashes. So much so, you get three color options for Promate’s ProPods: Blue, Black, and White.
Audio and Connectivity
One of the highlights of buds at this price point is ANC. It can cancel the background noise up to ~25 dB using the microphones provided. Similarly, the same mics contribute to ENC noise reduction during calls. Other than that, the ProPods can cover a frequency range of 120 Hz to 20 kHz, so those lows and highs are clear.
For connectivity, ProPods house Bluetooth 5.3 and support Quick Pairing.
Battery
On the persistence side, a similar battery as the Lush TWS powers the Promate ProPods. This 40 mAh cell holds the charge for 5 hours of continuous playback. Even with ANC enabled, it can last 7 hours on standby. Additionally, the case adds 20 more hours of life to the buds.
Charging it with USB-C is quick, charging the whole 400mAh case in 1.5 hours.
