Redmi Earbuds S Overview:
To give you some background about Redmi Earbuds S, it’s just a rebrand of the Redmi AirDots S. Okay, let’s dive into its specifications.
Design
Okay, to begin with, the Redmi Earbuds S have an in-ear design with two sizes of ear tips in the box and one fitted with the buds. Here, Xiaomi has gone with an oval-ish stem with a physical button control. They weigh around 4.1 g each in your ears. Plus, they have an IP rating of IPX4, so you don’t have to worry about water splashes and sweat ruining your buds. However, you don’t get any option on color, as they are manufactured only in black color.
Sound
These earbuds use 7.2-mm drivers to produce the audio. Additionally, the Earbuds S are independent of each other, so you can switch between stereo and mono modes as you need. Additionally, the DSP ENx (Environmental Noise Cancellation) company provides you with promises to enhance your call experience by suppressing ambient noises.
Note: There is a dedicated low latency mode that reduces the latency to 122 ms.
Battery
Moving on, the lithium-ion battery sealed within the Redmi Earbuds S gives approximately 4 hours of songs, movies, or whatever you listen to. The 300 mAh battery in the case gives an additional 3 charges, which means 12 hours of combined playback. And to power all these again, the buds separately get back to full in 1.5 hours, and for the case, it takes 2 hours.
Other than that, the Earbuds S have BT 5.0 for connectivity with HFP/A2DP/HSP/AVRCP profiles.
