Tecno Spark 40 Pro Overview
Design and display
The Tecno Spark 40 Pro comes with a more refined and premium design compared to the base Spark 40. One of the standout upgrades is its slim 6.69mm profile, which gives the phone a sleek in-hand feel. Tecno has also included IP64 dust- and water-resistance, adding extra durability for everyday use.
On the front, the Spark 40 Pro features a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display, which is a major improvement over the standard model. The panel offers a 144Hz refresh rate, making scrolling and animations extremely smooth. It also has a sharp 1220 × 2712 resolution with support for 1 billion colors, delivering vibrant visuals and excellent contrast. Additionally, PWM dimming is included to reduce eye strain during prolonged use.
Performance and software
Powering the Tecno Spark 40 Pro is the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset, built on an efficient 6nm process. It uses an octa-core CPU with 2× Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6× Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, providing noticeably better performance than the base model. This setup should comfortably handle multitasking, everyday apps, and moderate gaming.
The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and offers 256GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded further via a microSDXC card, which remains a useful feature in this segment.
