Design and Display
The Vivo Y18 comes with flat frames and a composite plastic sheet for the back panel. Additionally, the phone boasts an IP54 water and dust resistance. Meanwhile, it ships in two colour options: Mocha Brown, and Wave Aqua. The former comes in a plain monotone finish while the latter features wavy patterns all across the back.
A 6.56-inch screen with a 2.5D curve greets us on the front. The panel on the Vivo Y18 is an LCD with up to 90Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the screen offers a brightness of up to 840 nits along with HD+ resolution. Likewise, it has a pixel density of 269 PPI and comes with an 83% NTSC colour gamut.
Performance and the rest
The primary performance on this phone is driven by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor with eight cores, 12nm fabrication, and a peak clock speed of 2.0GHz. Additional hardware on the Vivo Y18 includes up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM coupled with up to 256GB eMMC 5.1 storage. However, you only get a solo 6GB + 128GB configuration in Nepal. Other than that, you can virtually extend the memory up to 8GB while the storage can go up to an additional 1TB with a MicroSD card.
In terms of optics, this phone comes with three cameras altogether. It has a 50MP primary shooter coupled with a 0.08MP auxiliary lens. In the meantime, the front-facing camera is an 8MP unit. In the tank, the Vivo Y18 packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W charging support. It comes with dual SIM support with a dedicated space for external storage as well. Lastly, this phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
