Apple Monitor Price in Nepal – Overview

      Why Consider Apple Monitors?

Apple makes exactly one category of monitor, and they are expensive ones for Mac users. The Studio Display lineup, far from trying to compete with ASUS ROG or BenQ ProArt on value, functions in a tightly controlled ecosystem product, built specifically for people already using a Mac. The Thunderbolt-only connectivity, the deep macOS integration, the Centre Stage webcam, and the six-speaker spatial audio system, none of which make sense outside the Apple world, and all of it makes perfect sense inside it.

If you use or would want to continue with Windows, there is already no point in continute reading this. stop. But if you're a Mac user or looking forward to getting into Apple's ecosystem, these monitors are going to help you immensely. For doing creative work, this is probably one of the most coherent monitor lineups available anywhere.

Apple Monitor Price Range in Nepal

This is unambiguously the most expensive monitor lineup listed in Nepal. The prices start at around two lakh seventy thousand for the 2026 base model and climb past five and a half lakhs for the XDR. The 2022 model currently in stock sits around three lakh fifteen thousand. These are luxury purchases by any measure, and they're priced even higher in Nepal than internationally due to import duties.

Available Apple Monitor Series in Nepal

Three models are currently available in Nepal. The 2022 Studio Display and both the 2026 Studio Display and the new Studio Display XDR are some of the Apple monitors you can buy in Nepal now. All three are 27-inch 5K IPS displays, but the XDR is a fundamentally different product underneath.

      Apple Studio Display 2022

The 2022 Studio Display is still an excellent product. It is a 27-inch 5K IPS panel at 218 PPI that makes text look like it's printed on the screen, 600 nits brightness, P3 wide colour gamut, factory calibration out of the box, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity that charges a MacBook at up to 96W while carrying the display signal through a single cable. Then we have the built-in 12MP camera with Centre Stage, the six-speaker spatial audio system.

But it's also a 2022 product sitting at a 2022 price in 2026, and that's the problem. Sixty hertz feels dated on a display this expensive. You will notice this immediately, coming from a ProMotion MacBook. There's also no HDR support, which is an increasingly strange omission at this price. The price could be slashed in the coming months. So always stay tuned!

      Apple Studio Display 2026

The 2026 model is the smarter buy for most people in this lineup. You get a 27-inch 5K at 60Hz and 600 nits, but the camera gets a proper upgrade with Desk View support, the speaker system improves with noticeably deeper bass, and Thunderbolt 5 replaces Thunderbolt 4.

The honest caveat is that if the 60Hz and no-HDR limitations bothered you about the 2022, they'll bother you equally here. The panel is essentially the same. The monitor is a meaningful upgrade for normal studio workflow, which includes video calls, document work, and photo editing in controlled light, but it's also not a leap forward in display technology. For Mac users who are looking for a great everyday display and don't specifically require HDR or high refresh, this is the one to get.

      Apple Studio Display XDR

Now, unlike the ones above, the XDR is a different category entirely. Here, you get Mini-LED backlighting with over two thousand local dimming zones, which means HDR performance that the base IPS models simply cannot touch. The blacks in monitors look actually black, with a peak brightness of two thousand nits for HDR content. Similarly, you get 120Hz ProMotion with Adaptive Sync, which makes everything feel dramatically smoother. It also packs an A19 Pro chip internally, with wider colour gamut coverage, including AdobeRGB, and Thunderbolt 5 with additional downstream ports.

At this price in Nepal, this is a purchase that only makes sense for a specific type of professional. For instance, this is good for filmmakers who do HDR colour work, or photographers with print clients who need AdobeRGB accuracy, and motion designers working with high-frame-rate previews. For anyone else, the price is impossible to justify when the 2026 base model covers the vast majority of creative workflows at less than half the cost.
