Hikvision Monitor Price in Nepal – Overview
Who Is Hikvision?
Hikvision is, first and foremost, the world's largest video surveillance company. They make CCTV cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and security infrastructure, which is their core business, and it's very massive. Monitors are a natural extension of that ecosystem, because security control rooms need displays too. So when you see a Hikvision monitor, you're not looking at a company that set out to compete with ASUS or ViewSonic. These are displays originally designed for surveillance environments and built for reliability and long operational hours, not for gaming or color-critical creative work.
These monitors happen to be commercial-grade office and surveillance displays being sold into the general consumer market, which is a fairly common move for B2B hardware companies trying to expand retail presence.
Worth noting separately that Hikvision has faced significant scrutiny globally. The company has been placed on the US Entity List, banned from government contracts in multiple Western countries, and linked to surveillance programs in Xinjiang.
Hikvision Monitor Price Range in Nepal
Three models currently listed in Nepal, and all sitting under twenty thousand rupees. The cheapest comes in at twelve and a half thousand, making it one of the most affordable monitors available locally.
Hikvision Monitor Models Available in Nepal
Hikvision 22-inch IPS Office Monitor
This is the most affordable option in the lineup and also the most interesting of the three. It's a 22-inch FHD IPS panel at 100Hz with 1ms response time, which is a notably fast spec for this price range. HDMI and VGA connectivity, a built-in speaker, and VESA mount support. The IPS display in these monitors gives you good viewing angles and more consistent color reproduction than VA at the same price. However, the Color coverage at 72% NTSC is very modest, but for document work and general use, it cannot be called a limitation. The stand is basic, with tilt only, but at this price, that's expected.
Hikvision 22-inch VA Office Monitor
Same size, same price as the IPS model, but here you get a VA panel instead. That means deeper contrast and better black levels, which can actually look better for media consumption and low-light environments. But the IPS model's better viewing angles and confirmed 100Hz refresh rate are arguably more practical for an office setting. The VA variant also comes from Hikvision's commercial lineup, which means it was originally spec'd for security monitoring applications.
Hikvision 24-inch VA Office Monitor
The 24-inch steps up in screen size and carries a similar VA panel. Features like 3D noise reduction and deinterlacing, standard on Hikvision's surveillance displays are also included here, which are to be honest, quite irrelevant for regular PC use but don't hurt. Similarly, for connectivity, you get HDMI and VGA. The stand supports height adjustment alongside tilt. However, the brightness still quite poor as it stays modestly at 250 nits. But at around the same price as the 22-inch models, you're getting more screen for the same money, though FHD across 24 inches is slightly softer than on a smaller panel.
