Design and Audio
Right from the get-go, boAt Immortal 131 gives a strong gamer vibe. It almost has a Batman-esque design with an edgy look. It obviously comes in Black, but there is a White option too. These earbuds have an IPX4 rating and can handle sweat exposure — no problem. Furthermore, both the earbuds and the charging case are clad with RGB lighting, adding to the gamer feel. Given that the Immortal 131 is inclined towards the gaming side of things, boAt skipped on mentioning much about the audio aspect in its promo material. However, they do mention that these buds are equipped with a dual-mic setup on each side and offer ENx (ENC) during calls. This allows you to communicate clearly with your gamer allies.
Features and Battery
Moving on to the features, first and foremost, the boAt Immortal 131 comes with BEAST Mode. Here, the latency of the earbuds drops as low as 40ms. Having low latency is utmost during gaming and can be a deciding advantage over your adversaries. To establish a stable connection with your device, they come with Bluetooth v5.3 along with IWP technology that smoothes the pairing process. A combination of 40mAh batteries on each bud and a 400mAh cell in the charging case keeps everything powered up. With this, the boAt Immortal 131 offers 10 hours of playtime at 60% volume. Meanwhile, the charging case can charge the buds three more times, providing a combined playback of 40 hours. The charging is rapid too, allowing you to squeeze out three hours of use with just 10 minutes of plugging in. However, you have to keep it plugged in for at least two hours to charge from 0 to 100.
