Boult is an Indian accessories brand that entered the Nepali market in April 2024. Amongst the first batch of products to arrive here is the Boult K45 earbuds. These audio accessories offer you the standard features you would expect from a pair of earbuds. Let’s briefly go through these earbuds, shall we?

Boult K45 Overview

Design and Audio

These earbuds come in an in-ear fit with silicon tips and a stem. They mimic the looks of the Apple AirPods Pro but with added colour options. It ships in three shades — Red, White, and Blue. They have a dual-tone finish with the hearing unit coming in a different colour. The red option shares the stage with black, white with ash, and blue with a darker shade of blue. Moreover, the Boult K45 comes with IPX5 water resistance and sits inside a pill-shaped charging case.

The company uses a lot of marketing jargon for its mediocre tech. For example, it dubs its audio as BoomX technology. However, they come with 13mm dynamic drivers, which is more or less a standard in earbuds like these. Similarly, you get a “Zen Mode” on the Boult K45 which is just an ENC feature powered by four microphones. Talking of ANC, there isn’t one on these earbuds.

Features and the rest

The Boult K45 comes with typical features you would expect in a pair of earbuds. Starting with touch controls and access to the voice assistant in your smartphone. It is equipped with Bluetooth v5.3 and supports SBC and AAC codecs. Additionally, it also comes with a “Blink & Pair” fast pairing feature that connects these earbuds as soon as you open the charging case. They also offer “Combat Gaming Mode” where the earbuds’ latency drops as low as 45ms.

In terms of battery, the company shies away from putting a number on the capacity. However, they mention a playback time of seven hours on earbuds alone. The number goes up to 50 hours when factoring in the case as well. The Boult K45 supports fast charging via USB Type-C interface wherein plugging in for a mere 10 minutes gives you over one and a half hours of playback.
