Boult is an Indian accessories brand that entered the Nepali market in April 2024. Amongst the first batch of products to arrive here is the Boult X45 earbuds. These audio accessories offer you the standard features you would expect from a pair of earbuds. Let's briefly go through these earbuds, shall we?

      Boult X45 Overview

      Design and Audio

These earbuds come in an in-ear fit with silicon tips and a stem. It ships in three shades — Ash, Black, and Olive. They have a dual-tone finish featuring a contrasting colour. The ash option shares the stage with black, black with grey, and olive with ash. Moreover, the Boult X45 comes with IPX5 water resistance and sits inside a pill-shaped charging case with a wavy texture. The company uses a lot of marketing jargon for its mediocre tech. For example, it dubs its audio as BoomX technology. However, they come with 13mm dynamic drivers, which is more or less a standard in earbuds like these. Similarly, you get a “Zen Mode” on the Boult X45 which is just an ENC feature powered by four microphones. Talking of ANC, there isn't one on these earbuds.

      Features and the rest

The Boult X45 comes with typical features you would expect in a pair of earbuds. Starting with touch controls and access to the voice assistant in your smartphone. It is equipped with Bluetooth v5.3 and supports SBC and AAC codecs. Additionally, it also comes with a “Blink & Pair” fast pairing feature that connects these earbuds as soon as you open the charging case. They also offer “Combat Gaming Mode” where the earbuds' latency drops as low as 45ms. In terms of battery, the company shies away from putting a number on the capacity. However, they mention a combined playback time of 40 hours when factoring in the case as well. Furthermore, the Boult X45 supports fast charging via USB Type-C interface wherein plugging in for a mere 10 minutes gives you over two hours of playback.
