The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL would be the true successor of the Google Pixel 8 Pro. While the regular Pro model is almost the same, this one is more in line with the size of the 8 Pro. The phone comes with aluminium from its body and frame while the front and back are covered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It is available in Porcelain, Rose Quartz, Hazel, and Obsidian colour options.
On the front, it has a 6.8-inch Super Actua display (LTPO OLED). It stretches FHD+ in resolution with 1,344 x 2,992 pixels at 486 PPI pixel density. It is also capable of a 1 to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Besides that, the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL can reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
Performance and Cameras
Inside, the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL has the in-house Tensor G4 processor and Titan M2 security coprocessor. The primary silicon comes with 4nm fabrication, eight cores, and a peak clock speed of 3.1 GHz. You get the phone in a single 16GB memory option. Meanwhile, you can choose between 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB for storage. In the tank, it packs a 5,060 mAh battery with 45W wired and up to 23W wireless charging support.
The cameras are one of the key highlights of a Pixel phone. The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL comes with a 50MP primary, 48MP ultrawide / macro, and 48MP telephoto lens on the back. In the meantime, it gets a 42MP shooter on the front. Furthermore, this phone continues to enjoy AI-assisted image editing features. AI is an integral part of the general functionalities of the phone as well. Lastly, it boots on Android 14 out of the box, which is an older version of the OS as Android 15 is already out. However, that should not be an issue as Google promises seven years of software updates with the phone.
