Huawei FreeBuds 7i Overview:
Here's a summary of the Huawei FreeBuds 7i:
Design
To start with, Huawei's latest FreeBuds 7i features an in-ear design for a good fit. The buds are pretty similar to what we got in the FreeBuds 6i a while back, a year before the newer version launched. However, they managed to fit everything in shorter, lighter earbuds than the previous generation. And this time, Huawei hasn't left out the IP rating. These pair of buds provide IP54 certification, so you don't have to worry about dust and water ruining your device.
Likewise, even the case is fairly similar to what we got in the last one. The only differences are the weight loss and the color options. Color options such as “Pink”, “Black”, and “White” are available for these buds.
Sound
On the audio side, the FreeBuds 7i uses 11 mm dynamic drivers with a polymer composite diaphragm to deliver your music. Additionally, these earbuds support L2HC 2.0, SBC, AAC, and LDAC codecs for Hi-Res Audio. There's also a dedicated gaming mode that reduces your latency to ~94 ms.
Noise Canceling
Moreover, the FreeBuds 7i provides Intelligent Dynamic ANC 4.0, which reduces noise-cancellation latency by 50% and delivers an average full-band noise-cancellation depth of 28dB. The transparency mode helps you focus on your surroundings even with the buds sitting in your ears. For calls, a bone-conduction mic (VPU) works alongside a 3-mic system to isolate your voice from heavy ambient noise.
Battery
Even though the buds themselves are shorter and lighter, the Huawei FreeBuds 7i packs a 55 mAh battery, similar to its predecessor, which is said to last about 5 hours with ANC and 8 without ANC. Nevertheless, the case bumps it to 20 hours of charge with ANC enabled and a whopping 35 hours with ANC disabled. In addition, charging is quick: buds take around 40 minutes, and the case alone charges in 1 hour.
Rest of the specs
A pop-up pair that requires smartphones running EMUI 10 or higher is among the additional features on Freebuds 7i, along with support for Bluetooth 5.4, multi-connection with two devices, and these.
