Huawei FreeBuds SE 2 Overview:
Design
Starting with the looks of Huawei FreeBuds SE 2, they are half-in-ear buds with a polycarbonate finish. Nevertheless, this time, the buds do not come with ear tips, different from the FreeBuds SE which introduced tips in open-fit buds. Similarly, the stems here have touch controls integrated into them.
Here, not only the buds but the case is also made using polycarbonate. Furthermore, the buds are IP54-rated, meaning you get protection from both the water and the dust. There are only two light color options to choose from: Isle Blue and Ceramic White.
Sound
The FreeBuds SE 2 makes use of 10-mm dynamic drivers for audio output. Huawei has claimed it has passed 26 strict reliability tests, hence providing stable audio. Additionally, these wearables come with call noise cancellation, utilizing microphones and an AI noise reduction algorithm.
Rest of the specs
Moving on, handling the endurance department is the 41 mAh cell found on each bud. This ensures a 9-hour backup just with the buds, which is an obvious upgrade over its predecessor. When you bring the case into the mix, it is a different scenario.
Repeatedly charging and using the buds back and forth adds an additional 31 hours of charge, bringing the total playback of FreeBuds SE 2 to 40 hours. Besides, you can get up to 3 hours of playtime with just 10 minutes of charging.
