Design and Build 

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 offers a premium all-metal build with an aluminum top and bottom. The 14-inch display is an IPS LCD panel of WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1080) resolution. The screen has a matte finish and can reach a maximum brightness of 300 nits. It's relatively lightweight at around 1.46 kilograms.IdeaPad Slim 5 is 312mm in width, 221mm deep, and has a height of 17mm.

Performance and Memory 

Under the hood of IdeaPad Slim 5 is an AMD's Ryzen 7000 series processor. The Ryzen 7 7730U is an efficient mobile processor with 8 Cores and 16 Threads. Common everyday tasks like web browsing and office work should be a breeze for the processor. It has a maximum clock speed of 4.5 GHz as well as 16MB of L3 cache.

As for memory, you get 16GB of non-upgradable DDR4 RAM. Alongside that, you also get  1TB M.2 2242 NVMe SSD.

Battery and Connectivity 

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 is fueled by a 56.5 Wh Li-Po battery which can last up to 16 hours of local 1080p video playback at 150 nits of brightness. It performed very well in the MobileMark 2018 benchmark as well lasting 12.5 hours.

For wireless connectivity, you get WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 technology. As for the ports, you get 2 USB 3.2 Gen Type-A ports, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports,an HDMI port, a card reader, and a headphone jack.
