JBL Clip 4 Overview
Design
JBL Clip 4 features a little redesign to its series, bringing an oval shape compared to the circular one we were getting. The carabiner now has a dual-tone finish. It is fully oval now and a bit sturdier than before. Clip 4 has an IP67 rating against dust and water damage.
Unlike Clip 3, both the front and back of its successor have speaker grilles. The former has a JBL logo with button controls as well. The JBL Clip 4 also provides you with rubberized stripes at the back, making it easier to rest on surfaces.
Audio and Connectivity
On the audio side, Clip 4 has a 40mm (nearly 1.5″) transducer. This outputs 5W of RMS power and responds between 100Hz and 20Hz frequencies. Moreover, it links to your device via a Bluetooth 5.1 connection. Unfortunately, for wired connections, there is no aux-in port.
Battery and the rest
JBL Clip 4’s battery can last up to 10 hours, all thanks to the 1100mAh cell it comes with. Additionally, it charges via a USB-C cable inside the box at 5V/500mA ~ 2.5W power. This takes around 3 hours to charge overall.
