Design and Build

The Kiwi Ears Cadenza 2 features an in-ear design with a durable polycarbonate composite shell and a CNC-machined aerospace-grade aluminum faceplate with a honeycomb pattern. The shell has a velvet-like texture that gives the IEM a more premium feel while keeping the design lightweight and practical for everyday use. It comes with six pairs of ear tips in S, M, and L sizes for a more comfortable fit. The earphones also use a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin cable, allowing users to replace or upgrade the cable when needed.

Audio

The Kiwi Ears Cadenza 2 uses a 10mm titanium dynamic driver with a PET diaphragm coated in titanium. It also features Kiwi Ears' KARS 2.0 acoustic system, which is designed to improve bass tuning and provide a more controlled low-frequency response. The IEM is tuned with a balanced sound profile, with a slightly fuller midrange for vocals and smooth treble. It has a rated frequency response of 10Hz to 29kHz, 18Ω impedance, and 106dB sensitivity. The Cadenza 2 also has a THD rating of less than 1% at 1kHz.

Cable and Controls

The included 1.2-meter cable is made from single-crystal copper and uses a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin connector. The detachable design allows users to replace the cable or switch to another compatible cable if required. The cable terminates in a standard 3.5mm plug and does not include an in-line control or microphone.

Connectivity and Compatibility

The Kiwi Ears Cadenza 2 uses a standard 3.5mm wired connection, making it compatible with smartphones, laptops, PCs, music players, DACs, and other devices with a 3.5mm audio output. As a wired IEM, it does not require Bluetooth pairing or a built-in battery, although devices without a headphone jack will require a suitable adapter or DAC.
