Here’s a brief description of the design aesthetic, processor, and battery life of the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i 2021 laptop with the Intel i7 chip and MX450 card.

Design and Display

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 2021 is a 2-in-1 device that can act both as a traditional notebook as well as a tablet. It comes in a mostly plastic build with aluminum on the cover. Its 360-degree hinge enables the Flex to fold into a Windows tablet. Unfortunately, you’ll have to buy the Digital Pen separately to utilize this feature fully. It’s not dauntingly thick or heavy at 18 mm and 1.5 kilos respectively. The 14″ screen is an IPS panel of FHD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). It can go up to 250 nits in brightness and supports multi-touch. It is also TUV certified for low blue light. Overall the build on the Flex 5 2021 (14ITL05)  is pretty similar to its predecessor and characteristic of the Flex series.

Performance and Memory 

Under the hood of the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 2021 is Intel’s 11th gen i7-1165G7 processor. It has 4 cores (2 performance + 8 efficiency) which can push the chip from its base clock of 2.8 GHz to a maximum boost clock speed of 4.7GHz. The L3 cache on this device is 12MB. Intel’s integrated Iris Xe graphics is responsible on the GPU front. Talking about memory, Flex 5 ships with 16GB of DDR4 RAM, which has a speed of 3200 MHz. It is soldered onto the motherboard, so you cannot upgrade beyond its default configuration. For long-term storage, you are equipped with a 512GB M.2 SSD. Again, there is no room for an HDD expansion.

Battery and Connectivity 

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 2021 ships with a 52.5 Wh battery and a 65Wh adapter.  The device supports Quick Charge as well. For wireless connectivity, you get WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5 technology. As for wired connections, you get 2 USB TYPE-A ports, 1 USB C port, 1 HDMI 1.4b port, a card reader slot, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack.
