Design, Display

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 9i is an ultrabook with aerospace-grade aluminum as the main chassis material. The top lid has a hand-crafted leather cover on top. Likewise, Lenovo has used glass for the edge-to-edge palm rest. As for the display, Slim 9i sports a 14" UHD touch panel with up to 500 nits of brightness. It is a glossy IPS LCD panel with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certifications. There is a 180-degree hinge to complement the multi-touch display.

Performance

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 9i is part of Intel's Evo platform. It comes with 11th Intel Tiger Lake processors. To be more specific, users can choose between Core i5-1135G7 and Core i7-1165G7. There is no option for discrete graphics, so users will have to rely on the integrated graphics. Moving on, IdeaPad Slim 9i comes with 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM, which is soldered onto the motherboard and is not upgradeable. Fortunately, you can swap the 512GB NVMe SSD with higher storage SSD of up to 2TB.

Fueling the IdeaPad Slim 9i is a 63.5Wh battery, which Lenovo claims can endure 15 hours of FHD video playback at 150 nits of brightness. You get a 62W USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 power adapter in the box. It has two front-facing speakers with Dolby Atmos and a total output of 4W. The 720p IR camera even has a TOF sensor. Likewise, it even has a dual-array far-field microphone for Alexa. As for connectivity, you get three Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6 (2x2), and Bluetooth 5.1.
