Build and Display 

Lenovo Legion 5i (2022) has the build of a gaming machine. It has an all-aluminum build and weighs a hefty 2.4 kilos. The wide 15.6" display of FHD (1920x1080) resolution has a high 165Hz refresh rate with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The keyboard has a custom 4-Zone RGB backlight, whereas the keys have 100% anti-ghosting.

Performance and Memory

This laptop is powered by 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H with 14 (6 performance + 8 efficiency) cores and 20 threads. It has 24MB L3 cache. It can also go up to 4.7GHz of max clock speed. As for the GPU, NVIDIA's RTX 3060, with a maximum TGP of 140W, can handle graphic-intensive workloads easily. It has Lenovo's Coldfront 4.0 technology to cool this CPU/GPU combo. Lenovo Legion 5i 2022 ships with 16GB of fast DDR5 RAM, which can be further upgraded to up to 32GB.There are 2 M.2 2280 slots for secondary memory, one of which is preoccupied.

Battery and Connectivity 

Legion 5i (2022) packs a 4-cell 80Wh battery that lasted about 6 hours (hybrid mode) on MobileMark 2018 test. It supports Super Rapid Charge, which can charge the cells up to 80% in 30 minutes via the 135W adapter that ships in the box. As for the ports, you get a lot— a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (with DisplayPort1.4) on the left, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, a headphone port, and an E-Shutter button on the right. Similarly, there are two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 (1 always-on), one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (with DisplayPort 1.4, Power supply), one HDMI 2.1, one RJ45, and a power-in socket on the back.
