Lenovo Legion 7a Gen 11 (2026) Overview:
Design and Display
In terms of design, the Lenovo Legion 7a is still made from an all-metal premium design, and this time, they have gotten rid of the extra space at the back that you can see in the image itself, due to which the laptop is now more compact than before and can fit in a standard-size laptop sleeve. Most reviews say that there is not a drastic difference in cooling with that extra space removed, but if I get my hands on this, I will update my results here shortly. The laptop's weight has also been reduced to below 1.8 kg, down from last year's 2kg. We get two interesting color options, as Glacier White and Nebula, but for now, only the Nebula variant is said to arrive in Nepal.
And now, my favorite part of this laptop, i.e., its display. Here we get a 16-inch OLED WQXGA (2560x1600p) panel with all the flagship-level features, including 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, a smooth 240Hz refresh rate, a fast 0.08ms response time, a bright 500-nit display, and a VESA True Black 1100 Certified panel. So yeah, if you love playing fast-paced games or want a perfect display for creative tasks like video or photo editing, you can't go wrong with it.
Performance and Memory
As I said in the beginning, the new Legion 7a ships with AMD’s new Gorgon Point processor, which is a refreshed version of the older Ryzen Strix point processor. The variant arriving in Nepal is the AMD Ryzen AI 7 450, which features AMD's latest Zen 5 cores. Specifically, this CPU has 8 cores and 16 threads with a max boost clock of 5.1 GHz. This CPU is excellent for running demanding applications without any lag whatsoever, and as these chips are part of the Ryzen AI 400 series chip, they come with a dedicated NPU named “AMD Ryzen AI” with an impressive 66 TOPS of performance.
For the GPU, Legion 7a ships with NVIDIA's latest RTX 5060, which has 8GB of GDDR7 memory and up to 115W of TGP. That said, 8GB of VRAM can be limited for some users in the long run, especially if you love playing newer games. For memory, it includes 32GB of LPDDR5x soldered RAM running at 8000 MT/s and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
Battery and extras
For a thin and light gaming/creator laptop with these specifications, we get a pretty decent-sized 84Wh battery. Legion 7a also brings a 24-zone RGB keyboard, a 5MP IR webcam with Windows Hello, and 4 speakers (2x Tweeters and 2x Woofers). For ports, we get two USB 4 (Type-C), two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, one HDMI 2.1, one 3.5mm audio jack, and creators' favorite SD 4.0 reader
