Design and Display
The 2023 edition of Lenovo Legion Slim 5i features a plastic body with an aluminum lid. There’s a “Legion” branding on the top left corner of the laptop’s lid and a “Lenovo” branding on the bottom right. The laptop comes in Misty Grey, and Storm Grey colour options.
Upfront, you’re getting a 16″ IPS LCD panel with an anti-glare coating on top. Likewise, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i (2023) offers a WUXGA resolution spanning 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. It offers a peak brightness of 300 nits, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a 45% NTSC colour gamut. Lastly, it does not have touchscreen support.
Performance
In terms of performance, this gaming laptop brings an Intel + NVIDIA combo. This Lenovo Legion Slim 5i (2023) ships with the Intel Core i7-13700H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU. The CPU is a fourteen-core architecture (6P + 8E) with a maximum frequency of 5.00 GHz. Meanwhile, the discrete graphics card comes with 6GB GDDR6 VRAM and a 2,370 MHz boost clock.
As for memory and storage, you can install up to 32GB DDR5-5200 RAM and up to 1TB M.2 2280 SSD here. In this particular model, you are getting 16GB memory coupled with 512GB of storage. As mentioned earlier, you can easily upgrade your memory as well as storage whenever you need it! Meanwhile, on the software end, you are getting Windows 11 Home. Other than that, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i (2023) comes with a Legion Coldfront 5.0 cooling system, and an LA1 AI chip.

Moving on, this gaming laptop features a 6-row keyboard with a numeric keypad. The keyboard also offers either a white backlight or a 4-Zone RGB backlight options. This particular option ships with the RGB one. The port selections on the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i (2023) include two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (support data transfer and DisplayPort 1.4), one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (supports data transfer, Power Delivery 140W and DisplayPort 1.4), one HDMI 2.1, one RJ45, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, and one 4-in-1 card reader.
When it comes to battery, this gaming laptop has been paired with an 80-Wh Li-Polymer battery and 170W AC adapter. For wireless connectivity, this Lenovo Legion Slim 5i (2023) with Intel i7-13700H and RTX 4050 comes with WiFi 6E and Bluetooth v5.1.
