Nothing phone (1) is the company’s first-ever smartphone. Characterized mainly by its unique transparent design, it was easily the most hyped phone of 2022. The transparent design was complemented with a bunch of LED lights (900 in total) that have custom behaviors depending on ringtone, notification tone, and such. Nothing calls this “Glyph Interface”. Other notable aspects of the phone (1)’s design include flat frames made of recycled aluminum, dual Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and IP53 dust/splash resistance. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G+ chip with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It runs on Android 12 with Nothing OS on top, and the company promises 3 generations of OS and 4 years of security updates. Its 6.55″ OLED display has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. As for the cameras, Nothing has gone with a 50MP main and 50MP ultrawide sensor at the back and a 16MP selfie shooter. The phone (1) is fueled by a 4500mAh battery that supports 33W wired, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless charging.
