OnePlus Buds 3 is the flagship earbuds offering for the year 2024 from the Chinese tech giant and is the successor to the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. Let's take a brief look at these OnePlus wireless earbuds, here.
OnePlus Buds 3 Overview
Design and Audio
The OnePlus Buds 3 does not deviate much in design from its predecessor. Given that, it comes in an in-ear design with silicone tips and has a stem with touch controls on it. Moreover, the earbuds boast IP55 water and ingress protection. Meanwhile, the charging case features a rectangular shape with a pairing button located inside. The whole package is available in two colour options: Splendid Blue, and Metallic Grey. To deliver the audio, these earbuds rely on a dual driver system comprising of 10.40mm woofer and 6mm tweeters. With this, the OnePlus Buds 3 are capable of producing 10mW of power. Moreover, you get a frequency response of 15Hz to 40KHz on these buds. Other than that, it comes with an LHDC 5.0 codec supporting 96KHz/24-bit sample rate and bit depth. It also offers a 1Mbps bit rate, OnePlus Audio ID 2.0, and OnePlus 3D Audio.
Features and Battery
These earbuds flaunt a triple mic setup which is then coupled with the AI Clear Call algorithm to provide you with up to up to 49dB of adaptive noise cancellation. The OnePlus Buds 3 comes with Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connectivity with your device. Additionally, these earbuds also offer latency as low as 94ms when paired with select OnePlus phones with Pro Gaming Mode turned on. Meanwhile, these earbuds support Google Fast Pair and Dual Connection features for added convenience. In the tank, these earbuds pack 58mAh batteries on each side, while the case houses an additional 520 mAh cell. With this, the OnePlus Buds 3 can provide a maximum of 10 hours (44 hours with the case) of usage at 50% volume when the ANC is turned off and the AAC codec is used. Meanwhile, the playback time drops to 5.5 hours (24 hours with the case) at 50% volume on transparency mode using the LHDC codec. Additionally, 10 minutes of charging the buds gives 2 hours of usage. In the meantime, you get 7 hours of usage from the case for the same amount of charging time through USB Type-C.
