Design and Display
Like its non-pro sibling, the Realme 12 Pro Plus (stylized: realme 12 Pro+ 5G) boasts a 6.7″ curved-edge full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals for an enhanced user experience. Moreover, there’s the same Vegan Leather back with an appealing design made in collaboration with the renowned watchmaker Ollivier Savéo. The phone is available in Submariner Blue, Navigator Beige, and Explorer Red color options.
Performance
Realme 12 Pro+ comes equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, promising a blend of efficiency and performance. For gaming enthusiasts, this midrange smartphone brings a notable feature – 3D VC Cooling Support. This is expected to contribute significantly to temperature control during prolonged gaming sessions, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable experience. Moreover, you also get plenty of memory with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the software front, the phone boots on Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14. Unfortunately, Realme has only committed to two generations of OS updates and three years of quarterly security updates which is a bit disappointing considering the competition.
Camera
The Realme 12 Pro Plus comes with a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The addition of a 64MP periscope portrait camera further enhances the imaging potential, providing up to 3x optical and 120x digital zoom. Complementing this setup is an 8MP Ultra-wide camera and a 32MP selfie camera. Realme 12 Pro+ doesn’t shy away from embracing the future, incorporating 5G connectivity for faster and more reliable connections. The in-display fingerprint sensor adds a layer of convenience without compromising on security.
Battery and Others
Under the hood, the Realme 12 Pro and Pro+ both ship with a 5000 mAh Battery and 67W fast charging. Besides that, there is 5G support and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
