Realme GT 8 Pro Overview:
Design and Display
As for the design, the Realme GT8 Pro features a premium design and a flagship-grade display. It features a 6.79-inch 2K OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 7,000 nits peak brightness, and around 4,000 nits brightness under direct sunlight. The screen also supports Dolby Vision, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and includes hardware-level DC dimming with brightness going as low as 1 nit for comfortable nighttime viewing. For gaming, the phone offers 3,200Hz instantaneous touch sampling and 360Hz four-finger sampling for faster response.
Moreover, the GT8 Pro features a detachable camera housing secured by two Torx screws, allowing for easy swapping with four designs: Functional Robot, Classic Round, Square (with metal porthole), and Transparent Rubik’s Cube. Users can also 3D print custom designs using the 3MF file from MakerWorld. It comes in White, Blue, and Green; White has AG frosted glass, while Blue and Green feature eco-friendly, wear-resistant recycled leather.
Performance and Battery
The GT8 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with an Adreno 840 GPU, configurable with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, offering faster speeds than the standard GT8. It includes a custom R1 graphics chip for super-frame and super-resolution support in over 100 games, enabling 2K at 120fps in open-world games and 144Hz in some shooters.
To keep thermals in check, the device features a 7,000mm² Ultra-Coverage Cold Front vapor chamber, 30% larger than previous ones, to maintain performance during gaming. Software-wise, it runs on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0. Likewise, you get the Sky Communication System with the S1 chip, which boosts cellular signal stability by 25% across 21 5G bands. Fueling this guy is a 7,000mAh Titan battery that supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, with 50% in 15 minutes wireless and full in under 45 minutes.
Camera
Realme partnered with Ricoh for the GT8 Pro’s camera system. It features a 50MP main sensor with OIS and an ultra-high transparency lens co-developed with Ricoh, meeting GR standards to reduce glare and improve sharpness. You get a Ricoh GR Mode that mimics Ricoh GR cameras with a dedicated interface and shutter sound, plus five classic Ricoh tones and custom tone adjustment.
The key highlight is a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.4-inch Samsung HP5 sensor, 3x optical zoom, 6x lossless zoom, and dual-axis OIS. You get Hybrid Zoom that reaches 120x, with True 200MP mode using multi-frame fusion for clearer images. It can shoot 8K videos too. Lastly, it includes a 50MP ultrawide camera with 116° FOV and a 32MP front camera. Video recording supports up to 8K at 30fps.
