Xiaomi has been well know to offer specs-heavy smartphones in an affordable price bracket. Similar is the case for the sub-brand Redmi. As such, Redmi 13 4G is the company’s budget offering for the year 2024.

Design and Display

Redmi 13 4G comes in a pretty standard design with flat edges. It is available in three colourways: Midnight Black, Pearl Pink, and Ocean Blue. The latter one has a wavy pattern running all across the back panel. Internationally, there is a Sandy Gold option as well, however, we Nepali folks miss out on that one.

On the front, we are getting a 6.79-inch LCD panel with the Redmi 13 4G. It stretches FHD+ in resolution and boasts a pixel density of 396PPI. Meanwhile, it refreshes at the rate of 90Hz and comes with a maximum brightness of 550 nits and a DC dimming feature as well.

Performance and Cameras

Under the hood, it comes with the Mediatek Helio G91 Ultra chipset. It is an octa-core processor fabbed with a 12nm process that peaks at 2.0GHz clock speed. The Redmi 13 4G comes in two configurations i.e. 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB. It also supports up to 8GB of virtual memory and up to 1TB of storage expansion. Lastly, it comes with HyperOS for software and a 5,030 mAh battery with 33W charging support.

The optics department on the Redmi 13 4G is led by a 108MP shooter. It is coupled with a 2MP macro camera which is nothing but a placeholder. In the meantime, a 13MP unit sits underneath the hole-punch cutout and handles the selfies. Additionally, this front camera also doubles down as a face scanner. For additional biometric security, this phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint reader as well.
