Redmi Buds 5 Overview:
Design and Body
Regarding design, the Redmi Buds 5 takes a few cues from its predecessor the Redmi Buds 4. You get an in-ear design with a fairly polished stem this time. Interestingly, the charging box is now more sleeker than before. Redmi ships this TWS in three colors: White, Purple, and Black . Additionally, there is also an exclusive camouflage variant made in collaboration with AAPE, a clothing company.
Audio and ANC
Firing the audio on the Buds 5 is 12.4mm high-polymer drivers with titanium coated diaphragm. It also consists of an independent acoustic chamber and secures Netease Cloud Music hardware certification. So, we can expect a solid audio performance from the Buds 5.
Besides that, the ANC also gets a buff on this new TWS. You get a 46dB active noise cancellation which is adjustable as well. The buds enable you to choose among three noise cancellation and three transparency modes as per your preference. Meanwhile, for calls, there is a dual mic AI noise cancellation that can resit 6m/s wind noise.
Battery and Others
Moving on, Redmi has not disclosed the battery capacity but it’s rated to last for about 40 hours with ANC off. Talking of connectivity, the buds connect through Bluetooth 5.3 with BLE, HFP, A2DP, and AVRCP support, while the charging box includes a USB Type-C port.
